Congrats to Alex M. from Clayton!
He found our January Gnome, Digger, hidden in Creve Couer Park by solving this riddle!

"From the boats cove take the path that leads you through the park.
And make your way along the lake that's shaped like a broken heart.
Near a bridge is where you'll find a little woodland home.
And just inside, hides the guy that we call runaway gnome!"

Congrats to Jay H. & his family on finding Hopper, our March Gnome!
He found our gnome hidden in Laumeier Sculpture Park by solving this riddle!

Our March gnome's name is Hopper
But not for the reason you may think
It's because he's a fan of the hops contained
Within his favorite drink.

So the St. Louis Brewing Industry
Is where your search begins
But this runaway gnome has found a new home
So it's not where it will end.

Schlafly holds a clue for you
At the place they make their cider
For on The Road to REAL BEER
Is a code for you to decipher

You must match the numbers below
With the letters on The Road
Just count from the beginning and then
You'll have the secret code

19 - 6 - 53 - 15 - 78 - 26 - 5 - 80 - 57 - 114 - 81 - 27 - 11

The letters in this order
Will certainly seem strange
But a three word clue they hold for you
If they're rearranged

Then it's time to make your way
To the place where Hopper hides
Just look around, until you've found
A place where you once could dive

And if you can find Hopper
Hiding in his rocky home
Then you will win and this game will end...
Until next month's Runaway Gnome!

Monk is the name
Of our April Gnome
And It seems he has found
A miraculous home

It’s a beautiful place
Where your journey begins
But soon you’ll find out
That it’s not where it ends

You must first solve this puzzle
www.cityhunts.com/monkpuzzle
To see where to start
When you get there
Behold the spectacular art.

www.cityhunts.com/monkpuzzle
The on-line puzzle reveals a photo of the Basilica Cathedral in St. Louis.

Once you arrive
You must be your own guide
And fill the words in below
To know where you should go

Once you find all the words
You must then rearrange
To create the right phrase
And continue this game

1st
Locate the nucleus dome in this place.
To the north of the center, a creature’s encased.
Within and below a sun and a Son.
And the name of it rhymes with the word in box one.
The creature was a dove which = OF

2nd
The man who began building this place
Is still here today and holds a clue to this race
For if you kneel where he lay for the rest of his days
You’ll see the symbol below on an object, displayed.
The name of the object is your next clue
Just insert its name into box number two.
The symbol is not pictured here, but it was on an ALTER.

3rd
Pope John Paul II you will find within
Kneeling before the Blessed Sacrament
You must then take the seventh word that you see
Its plural is the word you should put in box three.
The word was
PRAYERS

4th
Find the place where you go to cleanse mortal sin.
At the capitol C is where you’ll begin
Then count all the letters engraved in the round
When you’re finished, the word in box four you’ll have found.
By using the letters engraved on the baptismal fount, they spelled out
ANSWERED

Players then had to rearrange the phrase to get:
ALTER OF ANSWERED PRAYERS

The Alter of Answered Prayers is located within St. Joseph's Church downtown. It is the site
of the only miracle in the Mid Western United States.

Then go to the place revealed by the phrase
Our gnome can be found by the carpenter’s gaze
For his eyes give direction as to where you should roam
And the general direction of Monk’s new found home.

And please keep in mind, that we all must be kind
Especially when looking for gnomes left to find
So treat Mother Earth & the others that play
Both with respect and it will be repaid.

Search with care as you try to be first in this race
Leave the chips that you find there in Monk’s hiding place.
So that others behind you can still find his home.
Good luck & God Speed playing Runaway Gnome!
